Confession time

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
(James 5:16)

Confessing my sins seems really scary and given the chance, I would rather not do it at all. But the bible tells us that need to do so.
And here's the thing about confessing our sins. When we confess our sins to God, it seems like it isn't real. Because He isn't there in flesh. We don't see him in face, we just say it and done deal.
But when you put an actual person in front of you, and you are confessing your sins to that person, eye-contacts and all, it is really scary.

And see, here's the thing. When that happens, we know then, we can't be our savior. Our pretentious front or act that we put can't save us from the shame of the sins we committed.
We know then, we are in actual need of a Savior.
And when that happens, that's when the promise of the second part of the verse comes in; that you may be healed.

So, I have no resolutions yet for this year, but I am making one and that is to confess my sins more to my brothers and sisters.
It is a scary thought and if you know the kind of sinful thoughts I have in my head or things I have done, I'm pretty sure you might not wanna be my friend. But here's the thing, the bible promises healing in the end of it.
